Toni is from a small-town Midwestern family of high spirits and laughter. She joined her maternal family in MarysvilleWashington on the Pacific Northwest years ago. The plan is to stay for the view, family, and friends.
Toni was the first woman outside casualty investigators in Florida and continued working in Washington. A longtime civil rights activist, Toni shares stories about lunches with famous names, and her possible FBI file.
Toni started writing on a dare and published her first book the same week she retired. She invented her own genre, known as OA —Old Adult, also referred to as Matron and Boomer fiction. Toni wrote a historical fiction novel based on the life of her 9-times great-grandmother, who was on the Mayflower, and she continues to explore history. She is one of the founders of The Writers Cooperative of the Pacific Northwest.
