Steven Giesbrecht is a poet and storyteller who delights in creating imaginative worlds for children and families. Although new to the book-writing scene, he has already published five picture books, with more on the way, and is hard at work crafting his first fantasy novel. His play, Raymond the Buffalo, debuted in 2023 and is available to be performed by K-12 schools.

Steven lives in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia with his wife and young son. By day he works alongside special needs students, a role that continually inspires his writing. When away from the keyboard, he can often be found hiking, camping, reading, or scribbling down a poem or pun. His poems “Scared” and “Life’s Road” have appeared in anthology collections, and he always welcomes a good groan-worthy pun.
