Karen worked for the Oak Ridge Boys, handling fan mail and creating newsletters. She served for several years as in-house editor/manuscript coordinator for author Steve Allen (ghostwriting portions of some books) and wrote screenplays for various production companies.

Other positions included Dove Audio, Inc., where she abridged books for recording, and the American Film Institute where she was an instructor for their scriptwriters’ program.  She also wrote the official bio of Richard Pryor, which appears on his website.  

 Now retired, Karen lives in Henderson, NV. She has published 9 books.
