Dawn has worked through the obstacles of releasing the story within which have been oppressed by self-doubt and negativity. 

Dawn is in the process of losing her sight. She has endured multiple years of eye injections (every 3 to 4 months), several laser surgeries, and cataract surgery. As a result/side effect of the injections has experienced steroid-induced cataracts and glaucoma.

Dawn uses her writing and ability to story tell, as therapy to work through the stages of grief and provide herself with the outlet to see her grief from a different perspective to find the silver lining.

Dawn is a native Floridian who has lived and worked in Sasebo, Japan, and in Dakar, Senegal. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She also received a Meritorious Honor Award from a US Ambassador for her work ethic while representing the US Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.
