The first book in the Prince of Providence Series follows the coming of age of the lost prince of the Kingdom of Pinnea... a kingdom that won't exist for another 34,000 years. With the manpower strain on the order, however, Eleazaar was given an early graduation and called into service when a series of disappearances in the rural town of Luitgarde baffled local authorities and created hysteria and fear. Assembled with a team organized by the order, he is sent into unknown dangers with only the knowledge of unusual snake activity and an old, dangerous forest as a target area.

In addition to uncovering a mystery, the young cleric is faced with finding his place in an adult world with expectations and consequences. Having seen the horrors and suffering of war as a child in his homeland, leaving the isolated safety of the seminary challenges his ability to adapt and come to terms with the harsh reality of life he now faces. Being young and earning the respect of adult peers is not easy, no matter how intelligent one is.
